Village at Leesburg: Up in FAME

The Village at Leesburg was presented with a Facility Access Management Excellence, or FAME, award for exceeding ADA compliance regulations and meeting the needs of persons with disabilities.
The shopping center enhanced the parking along Village Market Boulevard, which created eight additional handicap accessible parking spaces to better serve visitors to the center.
“Village at Leesburg’s decision to add eight additional handicap accessible parking spaces is a testament to their level of community spirit and dedication to ensuring equal access by all persons to the property,” said Frank Lombardi, Chair of the Loudoun County Disability Services Board.
The DSB selects up to four awardees per year. Businesses selected for the FAME award have demonstrated their willingness to go above and beyond baseline ADA accessibility requirements and serves as the core criteria when considering a recipient.
