(SE Solutions), a strategic solutions firm that provides management consulting and technology services to government organizations with homeland security missions, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Evolution Technologies, Inc. (EvoTec), a recognized leader in emergency and disaster process, systems support, and electronic information exchange. The acquisition was completed Thursday, July 28th. “This acquisition directly aligns with our strategy to provide end-to-end mission support to our homeland security customers”, said SE Solutions’ CEO, John Rothenberger. “The addition of EvoTec broadens our mission capabilities and allows us to deliver services throughout the entire domain from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to the first responder.” EvoTec brings emergency management and response capabilities and communications standards expertise to SE Solutions. EvoTec has been widely commended for their efforts helping state, local and Federal authorities establish data exchange communication among first responders and for their efforts providing successful definition, development, and integration services for Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) and the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) utilizing the Integrated Public Alerts and Warnings System-Open Platform for Emergency Networks (IPAWS-OPEN), Unified Incident Command and Decision Support (UICDS) and other capabilities. They also have a track record for successfully delivering interoperability standards for sharing emergency alerts, reporting hospital status/availability, managing resources during emergencies, reporting overall situation status, and tracking emergency patient care. EvoTec developed and governed the original Emergency Management (EM) Domain of NIEM for the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate. They continue to improve interoperability via EDXL and remain active in the EM community.
