Purcellville-based Catoctin Creek Distilling Company has been awarded a gold medal from the Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago. Catoctin Creek Organic Watershed Gin was awarded 91 points in the gin category.

“This is our first medal for Watershed Gin, and we are delighted to learn it is gold,” said founder and chief distiller Becky Harris.
