Virginia’s first lady honors the Journey Through Hallowed Ground

The Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership was awarded the Hall of Fame Award: A Commonwealth of Opportunity for Economic Development, from a foundation headed by Virginia’s first lady, Maureen McDonnell. The foundation is the First Lady’s Initiatives Team Effort, or FLITE. The Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership is a non-profit organization that raises awareness of the history in the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area, which follows the Route 15 corridor in Loudoun. The Virginia first lady’s foundation recognizes programs, activities, organizations or individuals that embody the ideal of getting involved and giving back.
