American (and Loudoun) companies can weather the economic downturn by focusing on exports, said several speakers at the Sept. 14 "Exporting Essentials" conference at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne. The conference brought together business representatives from all over Loudoun, the United States and the world as they discussed the ways that American exports could benefit the local, national and global economies. U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf (R-10th) said that Loudoun as everything needed to export successfully. "There are a lot of businesses in Loudoun County that are making and doing things that we can sell abroad," he said.
