The Middleburg Women’s monthly lunch was Feb. 16, at Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn in Middleburg. The lunch is a time for networking, eating an elegant meal and hearing from prominent women from all walks of life. February’s luncheon featured Maureen Hanley, director of operations at Fox Chase Farm in Middleburg. Fox Chase was purchased in 2000 by Hanley’s parents. As director of operations, Hanley manages and produces horse shows, clinics and media events. She is also founder of Ride for the Cure Virginia, a breast cancer fundraiser held at Fox Chase Farm that raised more than $125,000 in 2009, according to the Middleburg luncheon flier. Hanley was previously an award-winning radio producer at National Public Radio, Public Radio International and Washington, D.C.‘s WETA-FM.
