"I can't tell you what's happened in the past, but I can tell you now that we're going in the right direction," said Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan as a crowd of several hundred attendees erupted in applause.
Shanahan was on hand to speak at the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce Leadership luncheon May 20 at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne. He said he has a vision and a plan for the Redskins and that he's looking for players who have talent and can prove it on a day-to-day basis.
