Going once, going twice ... going to fight for the cure! Washington Redskins player Chris Cooley and family hosted the second annual Cooley's for the Cure May 18. Last April, the first Cooley's for the Cure event raised more than $27,000 for Relay for Life. The second annual Cooley's for the Cure event was at Caliente – a Mexican restaurant in Ashburn. Proceeds benefited the Eastern Loudoun Relay for Life Briar Woods FBLA team.
The event included a live auction by Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, quarterback Colt Brennan and fullback Mike Sellers. Kicker Graham Gano and Safety Reed Doughty also attended. Auction items included Redskin's memorabilia, gift baskets, salon treatments, weekend get-away, sports club membership, pottery by Chris Cooley and more.
