More than 2,500 visitors partied it up July 17 at the Village at Leesburg’s Summer Block Party. Adults quenched their thirst at the beer garden, while kids were wowed by balloon sculpting, airbrush art, face painting and caricatures. American Idol Finalist Elliott Yamin and national touring band "emmet swimming," tickled the guitar strings for their listeners. Wegmans served "American Classics" and Faang Thai Restaurant and Bar featured Asian specialties. Proceeds totaled $1,500 and went to Loudoun Habitat for Humanity.
