Each congressional district in the country selects a best in show to hang in
the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol for one year starting in June. This
year more than 220 pieces of art were submitted by 149 students from 16
public high schools, six private high schools and four home school students
throughout the 10th District. All the artwork was on display for the
competition, which first started in 1982.
Terry Jones of Ashburn sits enjoying a couple of his favorite photographs

Campus in Ashburn April 14. Jones came to accompany his wife, a Loudoun
County High School art teacher, and because he says he has always enjoyed
art. Of the more than 220 pieces of art on display, Jones says he
particularly enjoyed a photo of children looking through a marble bannister
for its geometric shapes.
